Recurring Tasks Now Flow Without Getting Stuck

Recurring Tasks Now Flow Without Getting Stuck

No More Blocked Recurring Tasks

If you've ever noticed a recurring task stopping dead in its tracks after you marked it done, this fix is for you. Previously, once a recurring task instance reached Done status, the system treated it as still "active" — which prevented the next instance from ever being created. Your recurring tasks would simply stop recurring.

What Changed

The task generator now checks whether an existing instance is marked as Done before deciding what to do next. If it is, that instance is quietly archived in the background, and your new instance is created right away — no interruption, no manual cleanup needed. Tasks still in Todo or Doing are left completely untouched, so nothing in progress will be affected.

What This Means for You

  • Recurring tasks continue generating reliably after completion
  • No need to manually manage old Done instances
  • Your active tasks and in-progress work remain unaffected
  • Daily, weekly, and all other recurring schedules stay on track

This is a behind-the-scenes improvement, but one that keeps your workflow moving exactly the way you'd expect it to.
